HOW WE GOT HERE
I was born in the early eighties and have been building stuff since my father recalled his childhood hobby and helped me assemble an Airfix kit that a classmate got me for my birthday.

We continued building kits and dioramas together throughout my school years, getting steadily better at it and more ambitious, until I got my father a wooden ship kit for his own birthday.
Wooden ship models gradually opened up a new world: working with original materials and trying to imitate historical techniques, scratch-building ships from line diagrams and even trying to reverse engineer lost shipbuilding techniques.
